Model John Coltrane Limited Edition with Glass-dome
Oris has replenished its music collection by John Coltrane Limited Edition, dedicated to a jazz musician, Saxophonist John Coltrene (1926 – 1967). “Golden Years” in the musician’s career – 1950s – determined the vintage type of model with a dome-shaped sapphire glass above the black dial in the frame of the blue minute scale. Blue color was not chosen by chance: in 1957, Koltrein released the Blue Train album (“Blue Train”).
John Coltrane Limited Edition was released by a limited series of 1000 copies and are offered in a casket with an internal trim from Velvet – a reminder of the Cases of Musical Instruments. The steel case with a diameter of 38 mm contains automatic caliber ORIS 733 based on the SW200 database with a date pointer window in the “6 hours” position.
