Speake-Marin releases London Chronograph with a vintage mechanism
01/06/2016
Watches will be sold exclusively in the London Harrods
Only in the Fine Watch Room in the London Department Store Harrods will be purchased a new model of the London Chronograph of the Speake-Marin watch stamp. The watch is equipped with the VALJOUX 92 with a manual plant manufactured in 1950-60. Rare vintage mechanisms were purchased from the collector. The choice of these mechanisms was not the case – in the 1990s Peter Spek Marin engaged in the restoration of these calibers in London.
In the new model, the mechanism is concluded in the 42-millimeter Piccadilly case from titanium. The body surrounds a three-level white dial with Arabic and Roman numerals (such a reception has already been used in the Gothic Velsheda model). The figure “12” became red – reference to the design of classic English pocket hours, in which the other numbers were black, but “12” had their own color.
