Bonjour, amateurs de montres et lecteurs de mon blog!
The convenience of a watch is perhaps the most important aspect when buying and using it. You should always keep an eye on their size and, of course, the bracelet / strap on which they are supplied.
This is what today’s article is about: which of the straps / bracelets is the most convenient to wear the watch.
Nowadays, wrist accessories are supplied on completely different types of straps / bracelets. The most popular are by far:
- Leather strap
- Acier bracelet
- Rubber strap
Besides the above, there are also Mesh (mesh shark, milanese weaving), tissue NATO straps and significantly rarer titanium et ceramic bracelets.

Each type has its own pros and cons. The leather strap looks good and stylish, pleasant to the skin, but not very reliable.
Acier bracelet – very reliable, looks solid and serious, but weighs a lot and is scratched (* in the collection on such –Seiko 5 SRPD et Vostok Amphibia SE , for more details about the watch follow the links in the names ).
The rubber strap is light, thin and versatile, but it does not look good on all watches (* in the collection on this Casio G-Shock DW-5600, Casio MDV-753 , Casio AE-2000W, more details on the links ).
But which one is the best?
In my opinion, I find the rubber strap to be the most comfortable . In my collection there are watches on a leather strap, on a steel bracelet, on a NATO strap and several on a rubber strap.
The most versatile, lightweight, comfortable and pleasant for me are watches on a rubber bracelet ( Casio G-Shock DW-5600, Casio MDV-753, Casio AE-2000W ).

Such a bracelet is universal (suitable for any clothes and situation), practically does not feel on the hand, is easily replaced and easily adjusted to fit the wrist.
The second most convenient for me is a steel bracelet.
He looks amazing, stylish and solid . Best of all, in my opinion, it fits stylistically and aesthetically precisely to a diver’s watch. It is very reliable and versatile. However, its biggest disadvantage is weight . A good steel bracelet weighs a lot and can be a nuisance if you are active (the bracelet will dangle).

I am rather ambiguous about the leather strap.
Of course, these are timeless classiques and elegant classic watches are always sold “on the skin”. But the reliability and durability of such a strap does not inspire much confidence. In part, it all depends on the quality of the material – leather, but the concept and versatility, in general, are not very clear to me.
