Two new OP Art and Bubble Paiste watches
15 years after the appearance of the first Bubble model, Corum expands the ruler of recognizable hours and represents two new items in the OP Art line – watches created in collaboration with the industrial designer Nicolas Le Mouen. A special visual effect creates a sapphire glass with a thickness of 8 millimeters, which plays the role of lenses, while increasing and slightly distorting the dial. Two models are released in the amount of 350 pieces and equipped with rubber and leather straps. The diameter of steel housings entering into automatic calibers from 082 with a 42-hour turn of the stroke is 47 mm, the height is 18.80 mm.
The dial of the Bubble Sphere2 model creates the illusion of the sphere concluded in another sphere. The lines, elegantly crossing the dial and sapphire glass, form an optical effect of continuing the dome-shaped shape of sapphire glass inside the clock. The clock with a blue brass dial and a housing with a PVD-coating of blue color is equipped with arrows made in the same SUPER-LUMINOVA coating color.
Lines and shadows imitating circles on the surface of the water gave the name of the second novelty – Bubble Drop. The body of the model in brown colors is also equipped with a PVD-coating, and the brass dial decorate the arrows that continue the monochrome theme.
Another novelty was the clock created by Corum, together with Paiste, the manufacturer of shock musical instruments. The source of inspiration for the Paiste dial steel drum plates. Each bronze dial is manually made and is a miniature repeating musical disk.
Frames the dial steel case with a black PVD-coating, fixed on a black strap from a calf leather with a black rubber lining. “Heart” watches became an automatic mechanism from 110. The release of hours is limited to 350 copies.
