This chronograph turned out to be a pleasant surprise even for those fans of Saxon mechanics who have long known the Belisar collection from the Union factory from Glaschytte. The usual sports accessory appeared in respectable vintage routine. And at the same time in the technical aspect it became even more interesting.
Belisar is one of the most famous Union Glashuette collections, representing practical, courageous hours for people leading an active lifestyle. In the line there are models with the second time zone, very charismatic aviation clock, and the flagship has been a series of chronographs – sports, ergonomic, from steel, titanium or carbon, equipped with automatic Calibers un 7753, which corresponds to the Valjoux mechanism, refined in Glaschtet.
But this spring in Basel Union introduced a completely different generation of BELISAR chronographs. Start with the fact that sport design organically supplemented with a nostalgic chic, rather, characteristic of another collection of brand, Noramis. Carefully thought out parts, such as a slightly convex dial of a cream or black color with a minute scale in the “Railway” style and elegant false labels give the clock exquisite, vintage style. It is completed by a brown leather strap with a contrast stitching cream color. Sports accents are placed using the red color of the takhimetric scale, the arrows of the chronograph counters and the tip of the central second arrow. But the main secret opens, if you look through the transparent back cover – it is a chronograph of the UNG-27.01 chronograph, which is now manufactured in the factory in Glaskhette. Although it uses elements 7753, the stroke reserve is increased to 60 hours, and the inertial sector is decorated with thin stripes characteristic of the region’s clock school. Such an instance should be purchased for the collection.
