BR 01-92 Compass – a new limited edition watch from Bell & Ross.
A similar version of this clock was introduced a couple of years ago at Baselworld.
This is no ordinary clock.
Their design is inspired by the style of an old aircraft navigation instruments, in which time is recognized at a fixed point at the top of the dial.
This concept of time measurement is simple.
Instead of the two rotating arrow around the dial itself rotates the dial (in this case, two disks) around a single direction (a fixed point).
Thus two concentric disk rotate independently.
In one of them applied hour scale (outer disk), and the second – minute (the inner disk).
Limited edition of 500 pieces is planned for October 2010.
